Dr. Khalil graduated from Khyber Medical College Peshawar in 1996. He went to UK after that and worked in different hospitals in the UK. He was selected for specialist training at Manchester. He got his CCT in 2009. He was trained in paediatric neurology at Manchester Children Hospital, UK. After finishing his training in Manchester  he was appointed as a Consultant Paediatrician at Wigan infirmary. He  was the lead for the neuro-development services. He has gained vast experience in dealing with the common and rare  neurological conditions. He worked at Wigan infirmary for 03 years before coming back to Pakistan.

Dr. khalil has established dedicated paediatric neurology unit at Town Children Hospital where all the acute and chronic neurological conditions are manage. Dr. Khalil has keen interest in genetics. He has established links with Arcensus Genetic Lab in Germany for genetic testing. He has established dedicated paediatric genetic clinic in close collaboration with Dr. Arndt Rolfs from Germany.  Dr. Khalil is a member of Pakistan Paediatric Neurology Association.
